The Role of SADC in the Elimination of Poverty -28 September 2017

On the 28th September 2017, the Southern African Liaison Office (SALO) together with the African Union Student Alliance (AUSA) hosted a seminar at the University of Pretoria. The purpose of the event was to allow students to engage with Pan African Institutions about combating poverty in SADC. The event was attended by students from the University, moderated by AUSA’s President Alpha Shawa and speakers were Mr Martin Bwalya (Advisor to the CEO on Programme Development – NEPAD) and Mr Marlon Zakeyo (Advocacy Manager – Southern African Trust). The topic on the day was “The Role of the Southern African Development Community as a governance institution in combating poverty.
