Green light for investors as Madagascar resumes donor funding

International funding has resumed in Madagascar’s Amended Finance Act 2014, which was adopted by the parliament members. The international community suspended their funding for Madagascar since the explosion of political crisis in the country in 2009, but they announced the resumption after the December 2013 presidential election.

In the amended act, budget support expected by Madagascar from the European Union, the African Development Bank, the World Bank and Japan is estimated at 258.2 billion Ariary.
