South Sudan Country Facts
South Sudan, officially the Republic of South Sudan is a landlocked country in North Eastern Africa. It gained its independence from Sudan in 2011. Its current capital is Juba, which is also its largest city.
Constitution: The Transitional Constitution of the Republic of South Sudan, 2011 was drafted by a Southern Sudan Constitutional Drafting Committee. It was published in April 2011. A version of the constitution was ratified on 7 July 2011 by the South Sudan Legislative Assembly.
