The Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement calling on Malawi to have a peaceful election process whilst keeping with safety measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

The President of the Reoublic of Namibia, Dr Hage Gengob has been praised for this leadership in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the government remains cautious and has commissioned two COVID-19 treatment units on 5 June 2020.
