Nigeria Labour union protests Morocco’s colonization of Western Sahara
The Nigeria Labour Congress on Monday in Abuja demanded that Morocco put an end to its colonisation of Western Sahara. The NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, made the call during a protest match under the broad platform of the Nigeria Movement for Solidarity with the Western Sahara.
The platform comprises the Nigerian students from University of Abuja and Nasarawa State University, Amilcar Cabal Ideological School, Centre for Popular Education and Partners for Electoral Reform. Others are Socialist Workers League and Protest to Power Movement, among others.

Decolonization of Western Sahara, Focus of International Conference in Abuja
The decolonization of Western Sahara will be the focus of an international conference taking place from 2-4 June in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, to which more than 600 participants are expected to debate several themes related to the Moroccan colonization of Western Sahara.
Organized by the Academic Staff Union of Universities of Nigeria, this “important conference” will gather academics, civil society actors, NGOs and committees of solidarity with the Sahrawi people from Africa, Europe and the Americas.
