SALO G20 Social Summit Official Side Event: African and SADC Voices:
On the opening day of the G20 Social Summit, SALO hosted an official side event titled African and SADC Voices: Johannesburg to Washington, African Civil Society Takes Stock of South Africa’s G20 Presidency. The event featured a rich panel of speakers, including Ambassador Lindiwe Zulu, who delivered opening remarks, and the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Alvin Botes, who presented the keynote address. Speakers further included Mr Brian Kagoro (OSF), Prof Siphamandla Zondi (T20), Prof Narnia Bohler-Muller (W20), Mr Briggs Bomba (TrustAfrica), Mx Busi Nxumalo (NYDA), and Mr William Carew (AU ECOSOCC Secretariat). The session was chaired by Munjodzi Mutandiri ( SALO Senior Programme Advisor), with closing remarks provided by Ms Molly Dhlamini (SALO Board Member).
